In January, Panthers Travel travelled to Belfast to see the Nottingham Panthers take on the Belfast Giants in a double header EIHL clash.
Departing from the Arena at 11pm on the Thursday night, the journey to Cairnryan overnight for an early morning ferry proved to be more interesting than planned especially as we were travelling up the country we were greeted by fog which resulted in difficult visibility. But our amazing driver Ian, managed to get us to our destination.
After the crossing to Northern Ireland, we made our way to our Hotel for the weekend, before resting before the first game that evening.Whilst the result of the first games didn’t go our way, fans were still able to enjoy themselves by taking in the local facilities.
Saturday saw the travelling fans head out and explore Belfast for themselves, some taking in the Shops, some looking back in time at the Titanic Museum, whilst others headed out of Belfast to take in the scenery. Then it was time to head back to the SSE Arena for Belfast V Panthers part 2, which sadly also didn’t go the way we wanted.
But before long, it was time to head back home, and we left Northern Ireland around 10:30, with the Coach returning to Nottingham on Sunday evening.
A big shout out goes to the winners of the First Goal and penalties for the weekend which on the Friday game was won by Gary Brown and Michelle Smith, and on the Saturday game Gary Brown and Kelly Wells respectively.
Finally, Panthers Travel would like to thank everyone who joined us on this weekend trip, we hope you enjoyed it, and we look forward to seeing you on another trip very soon.
