Double Away Weekend

The second weekend in December saw not one, but two away trips. On the Saturday, Panthers Travel took a coach load of Panthers Supporters to Planet Ice Altrincham, to see the Panthers take on the Manchester Storm for the second time in one week. The Panthers battled hard, and managed to take the game to overtime, but unfortunately came away with just the one point. However two happy supporters left the coach in Nottingham early Sunday morning, as Lisa K and Martin L won the first Goal, First Penalty respectively.
After a quick rest, the coach was back out again, this time the destination was the Sky Dome Arena in Coventry. Fully decorated to celebrate Megan’s birthday, the “Birthday Bus” (as shown in the picture) made its way down the M1 to Coventry. After a rendezvous with former Panther Goalie Miika Wiikman before his departure from the UK, it was time to take our seats to hopefully witness a victory. Sadly it wasn’t to be, as the game the day before appeared to repeat itself, as the Panthers suffered another overtime loss. A special mention to Daniel K, and Sam B who won the First Goal, First Penalty for the Coventry game.
Our next away trip will be for the second half of ‘The Christmas Classic’ which will take place in Sheffield on Tuesday 27th December. We still have spaces available for this trip along with the festive Coventry game on the 29th December, and are now taking names for the game against Manchester on the 6th January. Phone 07547917968 to book your place now.
We hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and if we don’t see you on the 27th or 29th December, we hope you have a Happy New Year.
